We are looking for an empowered and energetic WHSE Professional that leads Corporate WHSE initiatives to integrate and develop WHSE Management within CAF Rail Australia. The position is part of the Humana Resources Department, reporting to the HR Manager, and work closely with senior WHSE professional and team members from project and business areas within Australia, as well as WHSE Senior professional from Home Office (Overseas).

This is a great opportunity to add value and develop WHSE best practices to leverage current model in a company were WHSE is a top priority. The role provides experiences, relationships and knowledge to expand WHSE professional acumen in a leading industry.

**Main responsibilities of the role**:

- The Human Resources WHSE Coordinator is responsible for leading the safe and successful integration of CAF WHSE SMS and action plans within the business.
- Identify WHSE management improvements to achieve efficiencies, cost saving and simplify administrative task.
- Implement a WHSE Model to achieve corporate guidelines and compliance with legal standards.
- Monitor WHSE plans of CAF Rail Australia, procedures, practices and KPI’s in an ongoing basis.
- Manage external Audits.
- Lead Corporate scope for external and internal Audits and certifications.
- Consolidate and generate reports in an ongoing and ad hoc basis.
- Stablish external partnerships to develop WHSE.
- Active participation on Workers Compensation aspects related with WHSE and coordinated with the business.
- Monitor development, coordination and advice of rail safety practices, systems and procedures.
- Promote, develop and manage corporate rail safety culture, including communication, education and monitor compliance programs
- Collaborate with WHS roles within projects, in order to identify best practices in management of all aspects of Rail Safety Business Plans and other National strategies and Initiatives.
- To provide a rail specific training (as required) and all New Employee & Corporate Inductions
- Provide WHSE input for new business proposals within Australia.
- Responsible for delivering WHSE compliance procedures and internal guidelines for Corporate employee.
- Attend daily/weekly planning meetings and liaising with internal/external stakeholders

**Profile**:

- Skill in Rail Safety management techniques and tools.
- Basic skills in quantitative and qualitative rail risk assessment and monitoring of risk controls and actions involved in delivery and implementation of projects.
- Skill in data gathering and statistical and trend analysis.
- Skill in conducting process and/or product rail safety audits and reviews.
- Skill in document management processes including recording, monitoring and archiving and producing routine written communications.
- Skill in identifying Rail Safety improvements to systems, processes and/or products.
- Knowledge of Operational Safety Management Systems and relevant OMS procedures.
- In depth knowledge of Rail Safety legislative requirements and all Australian Standards relating to relevant scope of works.
- Knowledge of CAF safe work systems and procedures and processes.
- Knowledge of Rail Safety legislation and statutes, e.g. RSNL 2012, and ability to interpret any applicable statutes or legislation.
- Knowledge of project risk management controls and actions.
- Sound knowledge of auditing, rail safety inspections and compliance reporting procedures and processes.
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or above (mandatory).
- CERT IV in Environmental Management or above (preferred).
- Lead Auditor Certification - 9001, 45001 and 14001 (preferred).
- RTW Coordinator training (preferred).
- Lead Investigator Training (Incident Cause Analysis Method - ICAM) (preferred).
- CERT IV in Training and Assessment (preferred).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the role of HSEQ Officer or Coordinator.
