**Position Information**:
Ultimo Public School is a dynamic and vibrant school situated on the southern fringe of the Sydney CBD and Darling Harbour, the Eora Nation.

Our school supports 470 wonderfully diverse students and we nurture a sense of belonging and participation, where all levels of success are encouraged and celebrated. Our students learn within co-teaching hubs and a culture of high expectations and collaboration supports effective classroom practice, empowering students to be reflective, resilient and confident learners.

Our dedicated and enthusiastic staff maintain high expectations for every student and a focus on instructional leadership supports explicit teaching across the school. Teaching and learning programs are responsive to data and two Assistant Principal Curriculum and Instruction provide ongoing support to all staff.

At Ultimo Public School there is a strong focus on wellbeing as students are supported through a range of programs and initiatives which include a school funded Assistant Principal Learning and Wellbeing.

Our school enjoys strong partnerships with the local community and we value parental involvement in all areas of across the school.

**Selection Criteria**:

- Approval to teach infants and primary (K-6) with demonstrated capacity to deliver high quality, differentiated programs to improve student outcomes using evidence based and data informed practices.
- Ability to embed 21st century teaching practices, including co-teaching, collaboration and the use of ICT into high quality literacy and numeracy programs.
- Ability to develop a positive classroom learning environment and implement inclusive strategies to engage and support a diverse range of students.
- Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with all students, staff, parents and the wider community to build authentic relationships.
- Ability and/or willingness to lead or support extra curricular and/or whole school programs such as dance, that will add to the culture of Ultimo Public School.
