**THE OPPORTUNITY**

**Location: Kilcoy**

Kilcoy Global Foods currently has permanent opportunities for Maintenance Fitters to join our team in a fast-paced, 24/7 beef production environment. Work environments will vary from agricultural, production, refrigeration, coal fired boiler and rendering.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILTIES**
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance activities, with a strong focus on a preventative approach.
- Contribution of ideas and input to improved systems, procedures and maintenance.
- Engage with the production team to optimise the performance of all equipment on a daily basis.
- Assist in capital and continuous improvement projects as directed.
- Maintain a strong focus on health and safety.
- Understand the urgent nature of the business and manage competing priorities.
- Prioritise urgent repairs of equipment.
- Understand the importance of troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Coordinate and collaborate with contractors as well as other departments regarding reliable maintenance of the various sections of the plant.
- Ensure compliance with relevant rules, regulations and legislative requirements in the workplace, including quality controls.

**REMUNERATION**
- $42.16 per hour
- Night Shift is $48.97 per hour

**ROSTER**
- Day Shift | 04:00 - 16:00hrs
- Night Shift | 16:00 - 04:00hrs
- 5 days on, 4 days off then 4 days on, 5 days off

**ABOUT YOU**
- Trade qualifications - Certificate III in Engineering as a minimum.
- Experience in Maintenance Fitter or Fitter-Mechanic role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and great diagnostics for fault finding.
- Reliable, motivated self-starter.
- Can-do attitude, focusing on solutions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills and communication skills.
- Experience with beef slaughter equipment highly regarded.
- Associated downstream offal and rendering plant and equipment experience highly regarded.
- Downstream processing experience including boning, chilling, packaging, labelling and transfer systems highly regarded.
- Unlimited working rights within Australia.
- Driver's licence and reliable vehicle or reliable means of getting to work.
- Vaccinated (or willing to be) against Q Fever.
