As a dog walker, you will be responsible for driving a van and collecting dogs to take to an off leash dog park. You will remain at the park for one hour at which point you will return the dogs to their homes.
You’ll be responsible for cleaning up after the dogs, managing their behaviour, and ensuring they are stimulated and thoroughly exercised.
No experience is required, however, people who have experience with animal care and training have a greater advantage. You will be shown techniques to manage behaviours to keep dogssafe and secure throughout the day.
you must have had an open license for at least three years. Those with manual licenses will have an advantage and may be asked to work across franchises.
Overall, you’ll get to spend your day with dogs, and learning about how dogs exist in a human world. We aim to turn you into a dog whisperer.
On a typical day, your day will begin at approximately 6:45am where you’ll be collecting a van. We will get to your first dog around 7 am, you’ll pick up a few more dogs and then head to the park. We will then drop off those dogs after an hour of play, and then repeat that 3 to 4 times. You’ll take photos of the dogs at the park, and we will show you how to do that without losing focus on the dogs. These relayed to the owners through an Instagram page. a full day Is approximately 4 hours of waking and 4 hours of driving in between walks.
There is a three month probation period where pay will be at $25 per hour. At months the pay rate will increase to $30 Per hour.
