- Junior opportunity for a Sheet Metal Apprenticeship

- Work with some exciting projects with a locally owned company in Moffats Beach

This 4-year, full-time supervised apprenticeship will provide you with in-depth training relevant to the Sheetmetal industry. Our host business specialises in aluminium shutters, sliding and swing gates, privacy screens, balustrades & pool fencing and architectural fabrication. The successful applicant will conduct all aspects of fabrication work including:

- Development and fabrication of structural items
- Construction and repair of metal products
- Safe use of measuring equipment, hand tools, welding & cutting equipment, metal forming & shaping machines, grinders, etc
- Work from detailed drawings
- Adhere to Work Health and Safety policies and procedures.

**About You**

Are you a confident, committed, and motivated individual with a can-do attitude and a passion for the Engineering industry? Our ideal applicant will:

- Be able to get to and from work - Manual Drivers Licence highly regarded
- Work Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm
- Hold a White Card (and willing to obtain)
- Have previously obtained a Certificate II in Engineering (strong advantage)
- Can use initiative within the workplace
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Have high attention to detail and exceptional organisation skills
- Be extremely reliable and punctual
- Be motivated to work in the fabrication industry and able to handle working a fast-paced environment

**Community Solutions **is a non-for-profit organisation operating as a commercial business, providing apprentices and trainees to a variety of different businesses throughout Queensland. We provide apprentices and trainees important career guidance and opportunity to earn while they learn. Dedicated Field Officers are assigned to apprentices and trainees to provide ongoing support to completing their chosen trade qualification.
