Quantity Surveyor

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Estimate and monitor construction costs from the project feasibility, tender and construction period for specific multimillion dollar projects as requested by the Directors
- Liaise with engineers and facade specialists while studying architectural and engineering drawings and specifications to estimate total costs
- Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates as tools to assist in budgetary control
- Monitor changes to designs and assessing effects on cost
- Measure, evaluate and negotiate variations to designs
- Prepare reports, contracts, budgets, risk assessment and other documents
- Provide advice to management on improvements and new strategies
- Work alongside construction and project management team
- Liaise and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as builders, architects, engineers and other sub-contractors
- Travel from the office to various sites as required

**Requirements**:

- BSc Honours Quantity Surveying
- At least 8 years of construction estimating or finance experience in the industry
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Sound knowledge of construction
- Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills
- Ability to organise, plan and strategize
