**Operator**:
**About the role**:
You will be a part of a team that is highly safety focused with an exceptional safety record. You will be surrounded and mentored by seasoned Operators ensuring your success within the business. With great attention to detail, you will be responsible for the separation and sorting scrap steel that supply’s an onsite steel mill with 800,000 t + of recycled steel which contributes to a positive impact on the environment. You will be working in rotating shifts every second week between 6 am to 2:30 pm and 8 am to 4.30 pm with overtime available.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

- Operating a scrap handler and excavator
- Operating Forklift (preferred)
- Assisting Customers where required
- Ensuring the cleanliness of the Recycling Yard
- Championing safety procedures to the highest standard
- Willingness to participate with competency-based training requirements

**About your experience**:
You are someone who values teamwork, safety, continuous improvement and has a strong desire to operate at a fast pace to ensure the team succeeds.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Experience as a machine operator and excavator operator is essential
- Forklift ticket optional
- Scrap recycling, construction, experience is desirable but not essential
- A continuous learning and can-do mindset
- Keen to join a collaborative and high-performing team
