Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of older people? Do you enjoy bringing joy, creativity and connection to those in your care? Anglicare Sydney invites you to join our team as a Lifestyle Carer within our residential care home.

About the Role:
As a Lifestyle Carer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life for our residents by delivering engaging lifestyle and recreational

programs. Working closely with our team you will help develop and implement

individual lifestyle plans that support their personal interests, abilities, and goals. Your compassionate approach will help create a warm and welcoming

environment where residents feel valued and cared for.

About You:
To thrive in this role, you’ll have;
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or equivalent qualification (essential)
- Experience in aged care or disability support is highly desirable.
- NDIS worker screening clearance
- A genuine passion for working with older people and enhancing their quality of life.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Understanding of the importance of maintaining residents' dignity and independence.
- A commitment to Anglicare’s values of compassion, integrity and excellence

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement lifestyle programs tailored to the needs and preferences of residents.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal care, mobility, and social engagement.
- Encourage and support residents to participate in recreational and leisure activities.
- Monitor and document residents' progress, ensuring their needs and preferences are met.
- Collaborate with the broader care team to provide holistic support to residents.
- Foster a positive and inclusive community atmosphere within the care facility.
