**About the role**:
Bechtel is seeking a recent graduate from university studies in social sciences, human rights, sustainability, communications and/or international/community/public relations to join Bechtel's Graduate program.

Working alongside the Mining and Metals Sustainable Development Manager you will support the delivery of sustainability and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategies across our global projects and have the opportunity to learn from a highly experienced global team whilst growing and developing your own career. This role will assist you to develop a comprehensive understanding of industry related sustainability initiatives such as community and Indigenous partnerships, sustainable procurement, economic development, socially and environmentally conscious project design and human rights topics including modern-day slavery prevention.

**In this role you will**
- Analyse Sustainability and ESG trends in the mining industry.
- Provide input into the development and execution of the company Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan.
- Participate in the identification of Sustainability and ESG initiatives for existing and future projects.
- Provide day-to-day follow up and support to team members in relation to project / engagement delivery.
- Assist in providing sustainability relevant information for project bids and proposals.
- Support in preparation for meetings on sustainability matters.
- Support in responding to sustainability-related proposals.
- Support in the development of tools; templates etc to support overall management and execution of sustainability across mining and metals.
- Support in the creation of communications for sustainability related blogs, newsletters, etc.
- Participate in and provide support for relevant business resource groups.
- Participate in projects, shadowing and learning, client interaction, project management, scheduling and workshops.
- Contribute to the successful execution of other research initiatives as needed.

**About You**
- Applicants must have completed their degree at an accredited university in one of the fields listed above withing the last 12 months, and,
- A passion for Sustainability
- Basic computer skills including competence in MS Office suite and other common software
- Experience in Microsoft PowerBI is highly desirable
- Flexibility and enthusiasm for individual and team tasks.
- Multitasking skills with the ability to prioritise tasks to meet upcoming deadlines.
- Analytical problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated skills in oral and written communication.
