**The role**:
The Safety Training Lead is responsible for the implementation of the newly developed Health & Safety Operating Plan, which aims to promote a leading safety and wellbeing culture across South East Water. The role is primarily focused on implementing and co-ordinating safety training solutions to meet our safety training competency standards and legislative requirements.

As integral part of the Safety Leadership Team, the position will engage with key stakeholders to build a positive safety culture that empowers every individual working at South East Water to take accountability and responsibility for health and safety.

While no two days look the same in this role, some day to day tasks may include:

- Lead the delivery of impactful safety training programs to equip employees with the skills needed to excel in changing and dynamic environments
- Lead health and safety systems training across the organization in consultation with the Safety and Wellbeing Systems Lead
- Develop the Safety Training Matrix and competency framework
- Manage the safety training calendar and manage the escalation process for non-attendance
- Source online training content that complements the Safety and Wellbeing Plan

**Who are you?**:

- Demonstrable experience within a similar role as part of a Safety function
- Familiarity with delivering and facilitating training within face to face and online contexts
- Highly developed communication, consultation, stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
- Strong time management, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to coach and influence stakeholders to drive change
- Project management abilities with demonstrated experience delivering projects
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, compliance codes and codes of practice
- Applied knowledge of the Vocational Education and Training sector
