**The Role**

Compliance & Assurance Managers

We are looking for four motivated persons to join our team who have the following attributes:

- The ability to quickly acquire a sound understanding of risks pertaining to an organisation.
- The ability to effectively communicate and manage relationships.
- The ability to develop a sound understanding of an organisation’s assurance framework, and to articulate that knowledge across Defence seaworthiness systems.
- Leadership and interpersonal skills to lead, manage, guide and develop staff effectively.

Knowledge and Activity Master Plan Managers

We are looking for 2 motivated people to join our team who has the following attributes:

- Work collaboratively with Executive and team members in building potential seaworthiness activities.
- Prepare drafting of the Activity Master Plan and associated briefs.
- Plan, schedule and execute the Activity Master Plan to deploy ODSwR resources so as to minimise overall DSwMS risk.
- Taking the initiative to progress work to meet business objectives, and providing advice and guidance on more complex issues.

**About our Team**
The Office of the Defence Seaworthiness Regulator (ODSwR) is an independent Defence Regulator.The ODSwR is tasked with managing the Defence Seaworthiness Management System (DSwMS), a Defence-wide maritime risk management system.

It does this through:

- Scanning the maritime environment and advocating on behalf of Defence.
- Providing a regulatory framework to manage maritime risks.
- Assuring maritime risks are proactively considered and controlled.
- Monitoring trends across the Defence Enterprise.
- Providing support to the Defence maritime community through education and advice.

To be successful in these roles, you will have:
Compliance & Assurance Managers
- Proven ability to undertake complex risk based assessments for assurance or Compliance; or to conduct detailed investigations into specific areas of concern that span across multiple systems.
- Sound knowledge and experience in determining appropriate assurance mechanisms to use for priority ranked assurance focus areas.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and designing activities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, supervise and participate in a small team, and ability to coach staff effectively.

Knowledge and Activity Master Planner Managers
- Be outcomes focused, with a high level of attention to detail and exceptional time management.
- Be able to engage with and provide assistance to internal stakeholders.
- Have demonstrated experience in managing competing priorities.
- Have the ability to work under limited supervision in accordance with changing priorities to meet deadlines.
- Be self-motivated, pro-active and organised and enjoys being part of a team.
- Written communication skills with the ability to contribute to and develop compliance obligations, regulations, policies, procedures, executive briefs and reports.
