**About the Role**:
The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Medical Oncology Research Fellow to join our team within the Medical Oncology Department.

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is a leading provider of public healthcare services in South Australia.

As a Medical Oncology Research Fellow, you will play a pivotal role in advancing cutting-edge research initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes and driving innovation in cancer treatment. In a training capacity contributes to the provision of clinical management of patients and supervision of intern staff to ensure that patients receive the best possible care within the objectives and philosophies of NALHN, with a commitment to inpatient and ambulatory care, research, education and teaching. The NALHN cancer service is planned to expand in 2026 with a new Modbury Cancer Centre being built.

The primary focus of this role will be to provide specialised medical care for clinical research participants who are receiving novel treatments for their cancer. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and undertake research projects with guidance from a supportive team of experts in research.

As per the SA Health Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12 month allocation as Medical Practitioner will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills and capabilities.

To be eligible for this position at **MDP2** classification, you must hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration.

To be eligible for this position at **MDP3** classification, you must hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Obtained a Specialist Qualification and is registrable as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist Registration.

The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading and superannuation as well as managerial allowances, professional development or any other allowances where appropriate.
