Information Security Manager

We are seeking an information security manager who has experience in the creation, development and secure IT and development practices in an agile environment. You will work closely with all departments to ensure adherence to security policies and procedures as well as performing monitoring and directing incident response.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage the IT and information security department’s team and personnel
- Assessing an information security situation and then reacting appropriately
- Assess security plans for existing vulnerabilities
- Prioritize security strategies to best cover strategically important data
- Analyze reports generated by threat monitoring systems
- Run and coordinate security testing
- Creating and maintaining information security policies and procedures
- Selecting and implementing new information security technologies
- Ensure all departments follow information security policies and procedures
- Keep abreast of the current information security landscape of the organization
- Creating information security training programs and interviewing potential information security team personnel
- Provide information security awareness training to organization personnel
- Creating and managing security strategies
- Oversee information security audits, whether by performed by organization or third-party personnel
- Assess current technology architecture for vulnerabilities, weaknesses and for possible upgrades or improvement
- Implement and oversee technological upgrades, improvements and major changes to the information security environment
- Serve as a focal point of contact for the information security team and the customer or organization
- Manage and configure physical security, disaster recovery and data backup systems
- Communicate information security goals and new programs effectively with other department managers within the organization

**Requirements**:

- Tertiary degree qualified in a related field.
- 5 years or more of industry experience in a technical management role with preferably 2 years in a security focused role.
- Strong communicator, able to take control of difficult situations
- Awareness of ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certification
- Proven ability to create and maintain quality project & technical documentation.
- Great interpersonal skills with a willingness to share ideas and learn from others.
