Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Asia Pacific Wholesale Finance Controller you will work as part of a small team overseeing the financial operations of the Trek APAC business in Japan, South Korea, China, Australia and New Zealand. You will provide first class support to our colleagues across the region, develop processes and tools to ensure we execute the basics brilliantly and drive consistency in process and financial control.
A bit about the role
Support the APAC Finance team & Asia Pacific in country controllers through the month end process, including oversight and analysis of monthly P&L’s and balance sheet workpapers.
- Assist with monthly financial reporting for the consolidated APAC business.
- Assist with development of financial systems, processes, and policies in accordance with global requirements.
- Support projects to drive process improvement and automation.
- Oversight of capital and cashflow forecasts.
- Ensure financial controls and processes are followed.
- Support the preparation of annual budget and monthly reforecasts.
- Support leadership on a range of strategic and operational projects and initiatives.
- Other ad hoc projects as required.
A bit about you
Someone who is inquisitive, can hit the ground running, collaborate across divisions, and focused on ongoing innovation and process improvement.
- Minimum of 2+ years of demonstrable experience in a similar position.
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels and across different countries.
- Dedicated to continuous improvement. Always looks for a better way of doing things and is proud of their work.
- Excellent attention to detail; tenacious and methodical.
- Familiarity with JD Edwards or similar ERP systems and proven ability to learn.
- Show initiative with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Have the ability to balance conflicting priorities and work well under pressure.
- Experience with Business Intelligence systems is a plus.
- Strong MS Office skills.
- CA or CPA qualified or working towards.
- Experience working across Asia Pacific countries is favourable.
