Here at Jacobs we also support a plethora of flexible working practices such as flexible start/end times, job share arrangements, working from home, and part-time arrangements. **About the team** We are looking for an Associate Environmental Scientist to help us deliver a strong pipeline of work on high profile and challenging projects for clients such as Melbourne Water, Yarra Valley Water, Greater Western Water and the Murray-Darling Basin floodplain managers. There are also opportunities to support colleagues in our infrastructure groups in delivering road, rail and energy infrastructure projects across Victoria. The purpose of this role is to lead aquatic ecology and natural resource management projects and to collaboratively work with other disciplines. You will be required to write proposals for, win and manage both complex and smaller projects within the area of your technical expertise. You will work with a team of passionate scientists and engineers who truly value diversity and technical excellence. You will be working with Jacobs’ global leader in floodplain restoration and ecohydrology, as well as a team of distinguished professionals who have a range of experience in the public sector and academia. A career at Jacobs provides you with the opportunity to make a positive impact and deliver solutions that bring value to our communities and society. **Here’s What You’ll Need**: You will be responsible for**: - Undertaking and leading a range of aquatic ecology and natural resource management projects, including both office-based and field-based activities. - Preparation of risk assessments and method statements, data collation and analysis. - Providing specialist support to other technical disciplines within Jacobs, including for infrastructure projects. - Liaison with clients, stakeholders and regulators, and with the wider Jacobs teams across the globe - Presenting information to clients and stakeholders at meetings in a concise and effective manner. - Authoring complex assessments / reports. - Managing projects so that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the agreed quality.*** **Jacobs.
