Trade Technician

**Trades Technician (Advanced Technician), Palmwoods**
- Full-time permanent position Monday to Friday based on the Sunshine Coast

We are looking for a trade-qualified Advanced Technician to join our Palmwoods manufacturing site. Reporting to the Continuous Improvement Manager, your primary responsibility will be to coach production operators and technicians in best practices and to develop skills in autonomous maintenance through effective systems and documentation.

**About You**
- You are someone who enjoys rolling up your sleeves to work alongside others in a dynamic and fast paced manufacturing environment
- You will be highly organised, solutions focused with an eye for continuous improvement
- Experience working with Operational Excellence Programs/Lean Manufacturing will be an advantage
- You will be able to prioritize your own workload while having the ability to work with the production team developing and coaching
- You will be trade qualified and be able to demonstrate 3+ years experience within a mechanical maintenance role, preferably within the food industry

**About the Role**

**Technical Skills & Experience Required**
- Proficient in safety protocols with experience in LOTO and proactive hazard reporting.
- Develop and implement Corrective Action plans, and put in place effective Preventative measures to prevent repeat issues from developing.
- Perform root cause analysis to prevent losses and machinery related downtime, recommending and implementing solutions to maximize efficiencies and to ensure production capabilities are achievable.
- Ensuring maintenance area and work area around machinery being worked on is maintained as required by Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), housekeeping and food safety standards.
- Drive continuous improvement activities on equipment and processes and participate in cross-functional improvement teams.
