**About the role
- 12 months Fixed Term**:
As the National Safety Systems & Injury Management Partner for the Coles Liquor Group, you will design, develop and facilitate implementation of National Workplace Health & Safety Standards designed to underpin Coles Liquor Health & Safety Governance processes and help to build a positive safety culture. As well as manage the Coles Liquor SafetyCARE system, ensuring the system meets self-insurance and National legislative requirements, you will lead national projects to support the delivery of the Coles Liquor Safety Plan and you will provide regular reporting and insights on safety performance to inform the development of further initiatives.

You’ll also:

- Manage Coles Liquor Self Insurance licencing requirements including, Licence Renewals and Audit programs, particularly as it pertains to the effective operation of the Coles Liquor safety management system, to ensure ongoing compliance with requirements.
- Develop reports and data to provide insights to safety performance to drive key deliverables in the Liquor Safety Plan
- Be a trusted expert for the State Health, Safety and Wellness Advisors in the implementation of the safety system and provide insights on a day to day basis to influence actions to deliver on the plan
- Ensure that the state teams understand and work to deliver national and state safety strategies, programs, frameworks, and business deliverables.
- Ensure the liquor safety and injury management system is effectively reviewed and updated to drive continuous improvement on a practical level
- Work closely with the Coles Group Safety team to ensure the Liquor Safety management system aligns to the Group Safety system.
- Collaborate closely with the Liquor Central operations team to ensure effective integration of safety initiatives into Liquor operations

**About you and your skills**:

- Safety Systems and Self Insurance expertise
- Experience in multi-site or retail environment highly desirable
- Health and wellness, Injury management and workers compensation experience
- Proven record of successfully implementing strategic plans and systems
- Proven record of driving and supporting change within teams
- Proven record of providing technical expertise and coaching all various operational levels
- Experience in delivering safety reporting to provide insights on safety performance
- Relevant certificate or degree in a health and/or safety related discipline (e.g. Risk / Hazard management, Ergonomics, OHS) and/or commensurate experience in safety management
