**The Project**

UGL and CPB Contractors have been awarded the early works contract to support Powerlink’s delivery of CopperString 2032. This $5 billion iconic project will initially be approximately 840 kilometres of new transmission line running from just south of Townsville to Mount Isa that will connect Queensland’s North West Minerals Province to the national electricity grid. The project scope includes:

- 500 kilovolt (kV) transmission line from just south of Townsville to Hughenden
- 330kV transmission line from Hughenden to Cloncurry
- 220kV transmission line from Cloncurry to Mount Isa
- up to six new substation sites.

This exciting project has commenced construction, and we are currently looking for an experienced Supervisor to join the team. This role will be FIFO from Brisbane on a 15:6 roster.

**What will a day in this role look like**:

- Monitoring construction progress and compliance to safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Ensure all operations are performed in accordance with agreed safe methods of work.
- Effectively coordinating and supervising the utilisation of all on-site resources for the project.
- Act in accordance with CopperString’s policies, procedures and requirements relating to proper business and interpersonal conduct.
- Ensuring all workers meet site requirements prior to commencing work.
- Ensuring site wide compliance to standards, specifications, and safety.

**What are we looking for you to bring to the team**:

- Previous experience as a supervisor working on large scale projects within the Civil Construction industry, eg road, rail, coal seam gas alignments.
- Champion a culture of “Safety & Health above all else” and ability to conduct own work and manage teams according to site SHEQ.
- Strong people management and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully and autonomously within a fast-paced project environment and deliver on deadlines.
- Available to work a FIFO roster from Brisbane or surrounding areas in QLD.
