Hsseq Advisor

The role provides support for all HSSEQ matters, regulatory compliance, HSSEQ training and system implementation as well as conducting HSSEQ inspections and audits (office and site). This position will assist in the development and implementation of RPS HSSEQ Management Systems through continuous improvement and where required liaise with clients on HSEQ matters.

**Role Responsibilities**
Advising and supporting managers and workers on HSSEQ matters. This includes guiding employees and contractors and supporting managers regarding their duty of care under RPS HSSEQ system and the relevant WHS Legislation.
Providing dedicated project HSSEQ support to the offshore/marine science teams in Perth and Melbourne.
Conducting internal audits and inspections and assisting with 3rd party audits.
Assisting with project bids and preparing HSSEQ pre-qualification questionnaires
Developing and delivering HSSEQ training
Driving the implementation and continual improvement of the internal integrated management system
Providing incident response and investigation support to managers
Assist offices and projects to meet their obligations in relation to emergency preparedness
Providing HSSEQ advice and support to projects throughout the project lifecycle.
Participate in project HSSEQ risk management activities such as risk workshops, developing project HSSEQ Management plans and required procedures.
Acting as Return to Work Coordinator, on behalf of RPS for workers compensation and return to work cases

**Education and Experience**
Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety or equivalent work experience
ICAM or equivalent incident investigation training
Rehabilitation/Return to Work Coordinator or equivalent work experience
Cert IV training and assessment preferred but not essential
Internal auditor qualifications
Strong understanding and knowledge of Australian State/Territory legislation and standards.
Experience supporting a professional services consultancy (working primarily in a corporate office to support a multisite national business)
Experience and qualifications in carrying out HSEQ audits and inspections within a multidisciplinary business.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills including using Microsoft Office.
Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and strong verbal and written communication skills including report writing.
Strong influencing and engaging style and demonstrated experience building relationships quickly with stakeholders at all levels, through a partnership approach
Exceptional organisation and time management skills.
Understanding of quality systems and how an integrated system works
Flexibility and agility to support several teams (and offices), potentially managing multiple priorities
