**ABOUT THE ROLE**
As a Pen Rider with Mort & Co you will work as part of a close knit team, undertaking a wide variety of livestock work, including the following key responsibilities:
- Pen riding, livestock movements, drafting, induction, processing and hospital treatments
- Undertaking reporting and maintaining accurate record keeping using specialist feedlot systems
- Ensuring that cattle health, wellbeing, and performance are thoroughly monitored each day in an efficient manner and in accordance with company protocols and procedures
- Ensure all livestock operations are performed safely and in accordance with company workplace health and safety requirements, policy, procedure, compliance, and regulatory requirements
- General maintenance of all feedlot sites and facilities
**ABOUT YOU**
To be successful in this role you will have a keen Interest in working with livestock and growing a career in livestock operations. You will also bring
- Demonstrated effective verbal communication.
- Ability to work cooperatively with the team to achieve requirements of the tasks and activities required in day-to-day operations.

**OTHER INFORMATION TO KNOW**
To be considered for this role you will need to be able to provide at least two horses fit for cattle work in a feedlot environment. Mort & Co supports employees with the care of horses including the payment of a horse allowance, the provision of feed for horses in work, farrier services and support with vaccinations.
As Mort & Co have a strong commitment to health and safety, for the benefit of all employees, all site roles may require you to complete a pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol screening), requiring successful completion prior to a formal offer being made.
