Team Leader

We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to take a key role in leading the Dry mix Bagging Plant team at our Bulwer Island site. In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee day-to-day operations of the dry mix bagging plant, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. You will provide guidance and direction to your team, support maintenance planning and reporting, and drive continuous improvement across safety, people, and plant performance. ** Your Opportunity**

In this role you will:

- Ensure Bulwer Island Packaged Product operations comply with Cement Australia’s SHEQ policies, including developing and reviewing risk assessments, work instructions, and implementing corrective actions.
- Lead operational activities to achieve safety, quality, maintenance, and production targets, investigating and troubleshooting issues as required.
- Operate the dry mix bagging plant, forklift, and skid steer/front-end loader safely and efficiently to maximise throughput and quality.
- Manage receivables, dispatch products, and support bulk plant operations as needed.
- Conduct reactive and preventative maintenance, assist with shutdowns, and support maintenance planning.
- Supervise and coordinate contractors, including issuing work permits and reviewing risk assessments.
- Utilise SAP for maintenance notifications, work orders, production reporting, spare parts management, and purchase requisitions.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across safety, people, plant, and process areas.

** What**You’ll** Bring**
- Trade qualification preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in bagging plant operations, including maintenance of fixed plant equipment; team leadership and shutdown/maintenance planning experience - preferred.
- Forklift, Skid Steer, Confined Space & Rescue, Working at Heights; Front End Loader ticket - preferred.
- Strong leadership and team motivation skills with a proven ability to lead safely and effectively.
- Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes, machine maintenance, and fault finding.
- Experience with Programmable Control Systems and interpreting operational trends.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools.
- A positive attitude towards continuous improvement and operational upgrades.
