Childcare Educator - Edmondson Park

First Connections Childcare Centre is seeking a dedicated room assistant at our brand-new, state-of-the-art service in Edmondson Park, Sydney.

Qualifications:

- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Working with Children Check
- First Aid in a Childcare Setting certificate.
- Asthma & Anaphylaxis Management certification

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the lead educators in planning and implementing age-appropriate learning experiences and activities for children.
- Ensure the safety, well-being, and hygiene of all children in the room.
- Collaborate with colleagues and other staff members to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play activities, meals, and rest periods.
- Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through positive interactions and guidance.
- Assist with record-keeping, including attendance, observations, and developmental assessments.
- Follow all policies and procedures related to health, safety, and child protection.
- Communicate effectively with parents and families, providing updates on children's progress and well-being.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Room Leader or Centre Director.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Valid NSW Working with Children Check.
- Current First Aid in a childcare setting with Asthma & Anaphylaxis.
- Understanding of the Education and Care Services Regulations, National Quality Standard (NQS), and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated creativity and innovation in planning and implementing learning experiences for children.
- At least 3 years experience in the childcare industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively under supervision.
- Passion for working with young children and supporting their development.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 38 per week
