**About Canopy**
**Canopy Clinical Psychology** is a new private clinical psychology service in Nedlands. The mission of Canopy Clinical Psychology is to use our knowledge of evidence-based psychological interventions to help people move towards improved health, vitality, and valued life goals. Where possible, we also contribute to educational training and meaningful research. Canopy benefits from being part of a private healthcare group, Clinical Integration Services (CIS Group), who also facilitate services for cardiovascular, respiratory, and sleep health. At Canopy, we value therapy which is strengths-focused, evidence-based, and tailored to the individual. We tend to take a transdiagnostic view of therapy, working with the whole person. We value a culture of collaboration and respect.
**Reason for Role**
Our practice was established in mid-2020, initially focussing on health psychology areas (e.g., insomnia, persistent pain, and cardiovascular problems). Since then, Canopy has grown into a fully-fledged, general clinical psychology service. We are looking for a Clinical Psychology Registrar to help meet increased demand for our growing service. In this role, clinicians will join Principle Clinical Psychologist, Dr Henry Austin, in delivering individual and group therapy for a variety of psychological problems.
For example, we currently accept referrals for problems such as depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorder, insomnia, persistent pain, obsessive-compulsive disorder and more.
We offer a competitive salary package, including clinical supervision and CPD. This role offers a registrar unrivalled independence and represents a unique opportunity to deliver rich therapy at a practice which is focussed on quality of service.
**Canopy clinicians are responsible for the provision of psychological therapy and related services**:
- Psychological assessment and intervention for a broad range of psychological problems
- Delivery of evidence-based psychological therapies, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy (ST), and third-wave approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
- Delivering psychological interventions to help manage physical health problems (e.g., assistance with adjusting to CPAP therapy for obstructive sleep apnoea, persistent pain, adjustment to chronic health conditions).
- Working closely with other healthcare practitioners in an inter-disciplinary environment.
- Delivering educational training to other healthcare practitioners on areas of interest in clinical psychology
- Active contribution to, and ownership of, relevant clinical research projects or collaborations with universities and industry
Canopy Clinical Psychology is seeking expressions of interest for a new Clinical Psychology Registrar to join our team in a **part-time** or** full-time capacity**.
