Horticulture Traineeships

Maxima has multiple positions across local councils and private organisations for you to kickstart a career within this booming industry.

This 3-year traineeship will give you the opportunity to get your hands dirty and receive paid work outdoors and practical on-the-job training, all whilst studying towards a nationally recognised **Certificate III in Horticulture.**

If successful, you could be eligible for Government incentives of up to $5,000 in the first 2-years

**Key Responsibilities**:

- General garden and grounds maintenance
- Mulch, prune, pot, and water plants
- Brush cutting and mowing
- Turf replacement, renovation, and fertilisation
- Pest and weed control

**We’re looking for individuals who**:

- Enjoy working in the outdoors and working with garden tools
- Are committed, reliable and hardworking
- Manage and prioritise time and tasks effectively
- Work effectively in a team with good communication skills
- Have a can-do attitude, and display initiative
- Able to follow directions and work under limited supervision

**Role Requirements**:

- Driver’s licence and own vehicle
- Physically fit and healthy due to manual labour work
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment, including a drug and alcohol test
