WorkSafe ACT is a fully independent office headed by the Work Health and Safety Commissioner. WorkSafe ACT achieves its objectives through a combination of compliance and enforcement, awareness raising, education, inspection, and investigation. It is responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance by duty holders in accordance with the _Work Health and Safety Act 2011_ (WHS Act) and associated legislation for Workers’ Compensation and Labour Hire Licensing.

We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to permanently join our Finance Team. The CFO will be responsible for taking on a leadership role in the financial decision-making for the agency. The CFO will provide strategic financial advice to the Deputy Work Health and Safety Commissioner and the Senior Leadership Team.

The successful person will play a key role in developing and implementing financial procedures to improve and maintain the financial health of the agency, while overseeing accounting processes.
