Pegasus Care is recruiting for Disability Support Workers within a 15km range of Belmont.

Within this role you will be providing supports including within the SIL home, personal care, meal preparation, communication, learning life skills, accessing the community and maintaining family relationships. You will have a positive outlook, a can do attitude and friendly demeanour.

The successful applicant will be willing to adhere to the strict routines required to support this young man. The will supported by a cohesive team of support workers, a key worker and team leader to learn the specific skills to excel in this role.

Ongoing training is provided.

**PLEASE NOTE THE ROLE IS AVAILABLE AT THE END OF SEPTEMBER.**

Thisrole requires staff to be available to work a 24/7 roster which will include weekend and public holidays, and, may include night shift/sleepover shifts. **To ensure the smooth running of the Service, staff will need to commit to a minimum of 30hpw across a variety of shifts**

You will need well developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a Team as well as family members, you will need good communication (both written and verbal) skills and the ability to follow the routines and protocols in the setting in which you work.

**The successful applicant must be able to show experience in some or all of the following:

- **
- PART Training
- Knowledge of Restrictive Practice guidelines.
- Previous sector experience
- Provision of support of non-verbal autism
- Behaviour support/Challenging Behaviours
- Dual Diagnosis
- Experience in the provision of personal care
- Provision of Community Access.
- Implementation of Individual Goals, Plans, Routines
- 100 points of ID
- The right to work in Australia
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Work (or similar)
- Current NSW Working With Children Check
- Current National Police Check
- Current First Aid/CPR Certificate
- **NSW **Drivers Licence, a Reliable vehicle with Comprehensive Insurance
- Provide evidence of vehicle registration
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- NSW Working with Children Check
- Completed NDIS Worker Induction Module - Quality, Safety & You (NDIS on-line training module)
- Completed Basics of Infection Prevention & Control Training (link to training module can be provided)
- Completed NDIS module “Supporting Safe and Enjoyable Meals”
- Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination.
