IT Technician

Cooroy Computers is a small family owned business that is growing. Our desire is to support locals with their IT needs. We know computers can be frustrating and sometimes have a mind of their own. That's why we are passionate about getting our customer's computers/devices back up and running. We aim to provide a high level of customer service, always with a smile.

We are looking for 2 technicians.

Position 1: Tuesday to Friday (30hrs per week)
Initially employed on a Casual basis with the opportunity to go part-time after probation period.
Position 2: Tuesday to Friday (20hrs per week)
Happy to be flexible for school hours and young children.

What you'll do:

- Carry out hardware and software repairs on a wide range of IT equipment including PCs, laptops, phones, tablets and printers
- Assess and interpret customer issues
- Diagnose customer's computers and devices
- Build new PCs
- Setup customer’s peripherals
- Maintain job notes within ticketing system including work carried out, customer contact and parts used
- Maintain a consistent workflow within the workshop
- Liaise with receptionists for customer contact
- Ability to multi-task and work on multiple jobs simultaneously
- Be respectful of all customer’s computers and devices and take care of them while in the workshop
- Clearly explain faults to customers in everyday language, not tech terms
- Give honest and unbiased advice to customers regarding their computers and devices
- Provide prompt and courteous responses to customer inquiries
- One on one support with customers as required
- Tutorials and teaching customers how to use their devices
- Ensure the customer experience is a good one

No qualification needed.
Previous experience desirable but not necessary.
