About us
The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority, and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state.
The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 per cent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.
About the role
The Registry Manager BaRC will work under the direction of the Senior Manager, Specialist Courts and Services and be required to exercise powers conferred under the Magistrates' Court Act 1989, other Acts and Rules. This may include in-court duties, client contact enquiries and administrative responsibilities.
The (BaRC) sits within the MCV and was established in response to recommendations arsing from the 2017 review of Victoria's bail system by the Hon Paul Coghlan KC.
About you
The role requires completion of the MCV Registrars Training Program. A relevant tertiary qualification is not mandatory for the role but will be highly regarded.
