The Finance Chapter is responsible for driving accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, long term planning and providing commercial and strategic financial input to key decisions. Together, these activities ensure a satisfactory return on capital and transparency for key stakeholders.

**What you’ll be doing**

The Finance Business Partner is a broad and hands on role with a focus on business partnering to drive commercial performance, as well as playing a central FP&A role. They will support the business to understand financial performance, provide forecasting, commercial analysis and budgeting. The Finance Business Partner will also take the lead role in running the consolidated business-wide forecast model to provide insight into business performance and manage risks and opportunities. They will have sound FP&A skills and will be tasked with setting up the business with best practice planning and analysis processes.
- Forecasting - develop and maintain a detailed and accurate forecast for the technology and corporate cost centres, including through partnering with the business, with a strong lens on commercial cost management. Develop and maintain tools as required (e.g. a bottom up forecast for software licenses, etc).
- Business partnering - work closely with key stakeholders in technology and corporate areas of the business to provide visibility of and insight into performance, provide input into financial decision-making, hold stakeholders to account on performance and cost out plans, and identify risks and opportunities.
- Month end - support month end processes by providing accruals (including software capitalisation workings) for the technology and corporate cost centres, including to support the year-end submission
- FP&A - run the business-wide forecast consolidation file, including the monthly submission of R12 P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow to Wesfarmers Group Accounting
- Budgeting - work with business stakeholders to develop a bottom-up budget for the technology and corporate cost centres. Run the business-wide consolidation model (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow) for the budget.
- Reporting - prepare relevant and timely reporting to stakeholders with insightful commentary to enable decision making.

**What you'll bring to the table**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting or similar; CA / CPA qualified
- 7+ years’ experience in FP&A and/or management accounting, preferably experience in Digital, Retail and/or Consumer goods
- Experience in financial business partnering, forecasting and budgeting
- Experience partnering the Technology function desirable but not essential
- Ability to implement best practice processes in relation to FP&A
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to produce fit for purpose reports and analysis
- Team player who enjoys working collaboratively
- Excellent commercial and financial modelling skills
- Advanced skills in Excel and BI tool knowledge
- Strong work ethic with the ability to adapt to change quickly
