Wind in the Willows Long Day Care is seeking a Permanent Full-Time Qualified Educator. for a near-immediate start for Room Leadership

You get at least 5 hours per week off floor to program and complete documentation. You are paid to do ongoing upskilling and to keep your training fresh. As well as daily allowances for documentation to be completed uninterrupted.

We prioritise work-life balance and do not take work home. Wages are based on your contribution and are always above the award rate.

You are working with a management team that has extensive qualifications and experience in early childhood education. Our team truly understands the needs of the education sector. Our core educators have been with us for a long time, and staff turnover is mínimal.

This position has become available due to the retirement of a Director/Teacher.

**About your role**

Room Leadership:
To build meaningful relationships with children, families fellow educators and the centre community. To have a sound knowledge of and demonstrate high-quality practice in line with, the National Quality Framework, that is, Education and Care Services National Law and National Regulations, the National Quality Standard, and the Early Years Learning Framework. To actively contribute to the educational program, observations, and documentation, using Story Park and informal opportunities to communicate regularly children’s progress and activities with their families In collaboration with your peers, extend children’s thinking and learning through intentional teaching strategies, inspiring environments, spontaneous play experiences and high-quality documentation Professional level of written and verbal communication skills Current understanding of Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children Demonstrated computer literacy skills.

**Successful applicants will have**:

- Diploma in Children's Education and Care - or studying, or
- Current First Aid and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates
- Current Working with Children check

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.74 - $54.18 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
