Unlike some large enterprise businesses, you will wear many hats, get more exposure and ultimately more recognition in this medium-sized company.

There are around 15 people in the Data Centre Operations team, so you’ll play an important part. However, nothing is outsourced or offshored in this Australian-owned company, so any decisions that could affect you will be your local managers, not someone who doesn’t know you.

You will be part of the team responsible for monitoring 2 data centres that host the equipment that powers the Australian financial markets and other financial services companies IT equipment.

There are shifts, so you will be required to work a 24 x 7 rotating shift roster.

Your typical duties will include the following activities - customer service, problem management, environmental support/controls, meeting SLAs with operational procedures and occasional involvement in special projects.

The primary data centre is based in Artarmon and is accessible by a free bus 5 min bus ride that passes St Leonards station every ten mins.

Occasionally you’ll be required to visit the 2nd data centre, and a paid cab will take you. Onsite parking is available for shift workers. There are modern offices above the data centre, and you’ll have access to break-out areas, kitchen facilities, etc.
