**Quaker Oats** team based in
**Forrestfield** has a fantastic opportunity for
**Packing Machine Operators** who plan, organise and control the packing operations function of final product ensuring the shift production schedules are met with accepted standards of safety, quality and productivity. This role will require you to work a
**weekly rotation** roster of
**day**,
**afternoon** and
**night **shift.

**at 6 months on successful completion of your probation period**

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Ensuring that pre-operational equipment & process checks are completed and documented daily, and any issues identified are addressed prior to start-up
- Maintain and controlling the operation of metal detection systems during production periods, including the initial calibration, routine operational checks, identification of any metal detected, and the associated documentation required.
- Monitoring and controlling the packing process, so that production is within company and customer specification and quality requirements are always met.
- Adjusting packing equipment for optimum output and to minimise unscheduled downtime
- Participating in packing hall cleaning, sanitation, and waste activities

Qualifications:
**Qualifications, Skills & Experience**:

- Previous experience with production machine operation within a food manufacturing environment
- Current forklift ticket with minimum 2 years recent operating experience.
- Can quickly adapt working a rotating roster structure across 3 shifts.
- Mechanically minded individual with a high aptitude in automated equipment operation
- An understanding of HACCP and AIB standards
- A flexible and energetic approach to ensure the job gets done right the first time
- A commitment to achieving team goals whilst being able to work autonomously
