**About the role**

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Grade 2 Social Worker to join our Wantirna Health Allied Health Dept. Wantirna Health West Ward is an innovative ward with a dedicated team that provide services to GEM patients as well as NDIS particpants. This role is supported by a site based social work team and Senior Social Workers, as well as a dynamic muti-disciplinary team. This role offers an opportunity for the Social Worker to learn and grow their clincial skills in a supportive environment that includes supervision and professional development opportunities.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will possess:

- Eligibility for membership of the AASW
- Experience in a hospital setting
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team and also work autonomously as required
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Excellent risk assessment skills
- The ability to lead complex discharge planning
- Conflict resolution skills
- Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the _Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice)_. Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment._
