**The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure the agreed and documented brand standards are maintained in the delivery of the new store & refurbishment program.
- Ensure representation of required floor plans is complete within agreed timeframes
- Develop innovative store layout designs, including category flows and store planning that reflect API’s desired strategic and market position.
- Develop in store signage, layouts & shopfront designs and ensure they are in line with current Brand Standards
- Maintain Brand Standards, standard specifications etc.
- Ensure plans are accurate and meet statutory requirements including state-based Pharmacy Boards
- Ensure Franchise Partner and Tenancy Design Guidelines are appropriately considered in the design process
- Create designs that consider efficient construction methods and budget requirements
- Develop effective relationships with all internal and external stakeholders to enable the delivery of accurate and timely concept drawings and plans that are in alignment with the Franchise partner needs
- Communicate with Property Managers and Project Managers to ensure smooth transition from concept drawings through to the completion of architectural drawings
- Ensure representation of required floor plans is complete within agreed timeframes
- Coach, mentor and develop direct report/s
- Ensure all three phases of the Performance & Development Cycle within delivered and completed within the set timelines

- General understanding of design, detailing and construction process
- Understanding of retail store design principles
- Demonstrates high design aesthetic level and ability to innovate
- Visual communication skills
- Ability to conceptualise plan layouts and communicate to the stakeholders
- Proficient in AutoCAD, REVIT & Photoshop or equivalent
- Computer literate, skilled in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure
- Strong organisational and process skills
- Ability to work to and meet deadlines
- Proficient in understanding of the BCA and all relevant local council/authority requirement
- Highly influential with a collaborative style
- Experience in a franchise environment
- Ability to positively influence others or build consensus

**Education/ Qualifications:
- VCE or Equivalent
- Tertiary qualification in an Architectural/Interior design or similar discipline
- AutoCAD & REVIT
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (retail, or other building types)
