The City is currently looking for a Civil Designer to work with the Engineering Design Team to deliver engineering design and drafting services by carrying out complex civil drafting, estimations of quantities, and costs for City projects. This position provides support to engineers, project managers, and maintenance personnel in the execution of the City’s Capital Works Program.

As the Civil Designer, you will support the City by:

- Operating independently as a Civil Designer to produce detailed engineering designs for a wide range of civil construction projects.
- Producing technical drawings and graphic presentation plans of a high standard relating to urban and public open space designs and concepts. This includes but is not limited to road, footpath, drainage, and building works.
- Participating within a team environment preparing designs and overseeing the implementation of proposals for the physical improvements of the public domain and the creation of new public spaces and facilities throughout the city.
- Producing workable and cost-effective design solutions for a wide range of complex projects using plotted information, design standards, established parameters, and design experience.

This role will work closely with Asset Management, Maintenance, and the Project Delivery Unit to ensure that planned design works are made ready for the delivery team.
