**Your new role**:
As a Plumbing Inspector your responsibilities will include but not limit to:
- Assessment of activity approvals pursuant to Section 68 of the Local Government Act 1993 for both sewer and stormwater drainage works, for residential and commercial developments.
- Conduct inspections of sewer, stormwater, ensuring compliance with NSW Code of Practice and Australian Standards AS3500.
- Assess plumbing and drainage designs and installations for compliance against the Plumbing and Drainage Act 2011 and relevant plumbing standards and identify and assess compliant/noncompliant plumbing and drainage designs and installations with reference to the Plumbing and Drainage Act 2011.
- Identify, reconcile, and provide solutions for complex plumbing design and installation challenges with applicants, plumbers, and site managers by exploring options and making recommendations.
- Provide plumbing expertise and advice to the organisation and external customers including working with other Council directorates and participating in on-site meetings.
**What you need to succeed?**
To be successful as a Plumbing Inspector, you will:
- Hold a Current NSW Plumbing, Draining, and Gas fitting Qualified Supervisor Licence.
- Hold a Class C Drivers Licence and General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card).
