We have an opportunity in the Logan Region for a
**Workplace Health and Safety Officer **with Road Infrastructure experience interested in joining us and capable of committing to the following assignments for a period of approximately 2 years with a possibility of extensions and other projects.

**Responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to**:

- Assist in the preparation & implementation of health and safety plans
- Complete risk assessments, audits, task observations and safety investigations
- Complete and maintain any documentation required on the project as per the Federal Safety Accreditation and ISO Accreditation requirements
- Ensure relevant legislation is adhered to
- Provide training and support to the team members
- Manage and develop relationships with employees and stakeholders

**Essential Skills required undertaking this role**:

- Must have a minimum 5 years’ WH&S experience on TMR road infrastructure projects & conducted related Audits.
- Strong understanding of latest OH&S legislation
- Experience working on road construction projects in the rural environment
- Time management and task prioritisation capabilities, with an ability to meet deadlines and manage pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Well-developed interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Qualified in OHS

The proposed hours are 36-45 per week, however longer hours & weekend work may be required to suit work load. The role is Logan Region / QLD based and preference would be given to someone who is local to the project within the Sth Brisbane to Gold Coast within an hours drive of Jimboomba.

**You must have**: the right to work in Australia, with well-developed interpersonal and consultative skills and a current drivers licence.
