Local council looking for a Planning Approvals Advisor to assist with capital works projects.

**Your new company**

Our client is a Queensland government agency based in Ipswich and Brisbane that provides a number of water services including water storage, transport and treatment, and overall planning and management to their real property portfolio. Due to an increase in workload due to a healthy project pipeline, they are looking for a Planning Approvals Advisor to join their team to ensure successful project delivery on their local capital works projects.

**Your new role**

As the Planning Approvals Advisor, you will develop and deliver planning and environmental approvals for major projects on behalf of the council. This includes providing advice on project approvals, infrastructure development, planning, risk management, and construction management from end to end. You will ensure all projects are managed to achieve the client's scope, time, cost, and quality requirements. You will also liaise with all project stakeholders and interface with clients on day-to-day operation matters.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of project management in reference to infrastructure delivery, having worked on high value water infrastructure projects. Therefore, you, will come from a background in environmental planning or town/urban planning, with a relevant discipline in this field. You will have demonstrated experience in delivering approvals for major construction works, ideally in the public sector, as well as knowledge in the associated legislation, policies and procedures involved in delivering such projects. An unrestricted C Class drivers’ licence is also required for this role.

**What you'll get in return**

You will be offered an immediate start in a full-time contracted role within a Queensland government agency located in Ipswich. You will be offered an initial 2-month temporary contract with the possibility of extension, paying a PO5 rate + super. You will also have the potential opportunity to work from home.
