**The Opportunity**

Due to an increase in upcoming work scopes, Austal has an immediate opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Storeperson to join us on a permanent full-time basis at our Henderson facility within the Piping and Mechanical department.

**What’s involved**
- Accurate and timely completion of goods received in line with supply chain process.
- Storing of inventory ensuring accurate location is reflected in the warehouse management system.
- Picking, packaging, and despatching including the delivery of orders in line with supply chain process
- Liaise with Procurement team ensuring an optimal process on the reordering and backordering of goods, as well as providing accurate and timely feedback on received goods.
- Provide forklift services for material movement around site safely and as per the forklift usage procedure.
- Stocktaking duties
- Ensure housekeeping standards are adhered to.
- Provide a high-level service to the production team.

**You’ll need**
- Current Forklift Ticket & Valid Driver’s Licence.
- Recent experience using Forklift's is highly preferred
- Loading vehicles with a range of different freight sizes
- Hold a Construction safety induction (white card)
- Previous experience in a similar role within an Engineering or Manufacturing environment is essential
- Qualifications in Warehousing & Logistics would be highly regarded.
- Experience using a Warehouse Management System would be advantageous.
- A sound working knowledge of computers and basic computer literacy. (emphasis on Word/Outlook/Excel)
- Proactive approach to safety in the workplace
- Be physically fit with the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and to complete the required responsibilities in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.
