The Just Brass program, a community music program was established to provide opportunities to primary school students who would not normally have access to a high quality music program.

School based tuition, band rehearsals & performanceProvide weekly 30 minute brass tuition for young people in groups of two or more in school.Maintain strong relationships with Principals, teachers, and student wellbeing staff at primary schools to ensure positive outcomes for young people engaged in Just Brass program.Organize Just Brass specific special events each year, a minimum of one per term in school and in the community Create pathways to other Ministry initiativesDevelop working links and pathways to other (Corps) ministry initiatives, particularly those engaging children and families Program AdministrationMeet partnering primary schools administrative requirements for all participating studentsManage all instruments used in the school, inform coordinator of repairs neededManage all other equipment requirements for students CommunicationRegularly inform Corps regarding the progress of the programRegularly inform families of Just Brass news, events and relevant Salvation Army Corps informationSchool personnel kept informed of Just Brass activities, including logistics, band rehearsals, band performances and any other activitiesBuild strong relationships with Principals, teachers, and student wellbeing staff at primary schools to ensure positive outcomes for young people engaged in Just Brass program
