Our Fintech team is the heart of payments technology for Coles. We support Coles brands in connecting with customers and our focus is on delivering high quality payments services. We are proud of the fact Coles is one of Australia’s largest EFT transactional processing entities.
Our Fintech function is currently going through an exciting period of transformation, innovation and growth and as part of this growth we are constantly looking at ways to evolve the payments experience and deliver maximum value to the customer through our innovative technology initiatives.

**About the role**:
You will develop solution design options for complex systems in alignment with enterprise architecture policies. You will be required to contribute to the strategic direction of the payment’s portfolio landscape, and be experienced with payments projects and programs affecting the payments Landscape

Previous experience as a solution designer for payments systems, financial systems, or banking systems is strongly desired.

**About you and your skills**:

- You will be responsible for technology solutions on the Payments Platforms using FIS (Data Navigator, IST), Postillion (Realtime, Portal etc.), TMS and/or Terminal processing..
- Assist to develop the Payments Technology Strategy.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and key decision makers across Payments Services
- Conduct workshops and deliver solution design options to stakeholders
- Promote and ensure that appropriate standards, methods and tools for solution architecture and development are adopted and used effectively, ensuring fit for purpose and alignment of enterprise architecture, security and delivery,
- Produce high and where required detailed estimates for initiatives proposed by the payments business and FinTech teams,

**Other good things**:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a solution designer or equivalent role
- Pragmatic and proven solution designing skills with a generic background in designing a range of solutions particularly for payments platforms
- Experience in designing digital platforms that can scale and can be integrated into other interacting platforms
- Experience working towards solutions that enable transition of platforms from on-premises to managed data centres / cloud service providers
- Experience developing architecture blueprints, strategies and roadmaps
