**Y Schools Queensland** **Senior Brisbane South Campus**is recruiting a passionate Classroom Youth Worker**on **a Permanent Full-Time**basis to join our Vocational Schools Team located in** Parkinson.**

The ideal applicant will hold a genuine passion for assisting young people in understanding their full potential, regardless of their background or individual circumstances. You will thrive in the knowledge that your guidance can impact young people to recognise their true value in a holistic sense and gain fulfilment from seeing them grow into young, empowered adults.

**What will my time look like?**

Coordinate the delivery of the school’s pastoral care and community development program so that student wellbeing needs, and attendance targets are me
- t Plan and lead wellbeing programs to student
- s Support the delivery of vocational training programs offered to student
- s Assist in delivering associated programs, services and events offered to young people through the operation of the campu
- s Form intentional relationships with young people so that their strengths, passions, interests and unmet needs can be supported appropriately through the operation of the schoo
- l Support and case management of identified students in line with school policies and practic

**Am I a good match?**

Hold a Certificate III or above in Youth Work, Community Services or other relevant qualificatio
- n Hold a Positive Notice Blue Card, or be willing to obtainDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively with young people including the ability to communicate appropriately with young people and their families from diverse cultural background
- t Ability and commitment to working with young people using the Strengths Approach and ability to demonstrate non-judgmental, empathic framewor
- k Be able to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skill
