Finance Business Partner/Senior Management Accountant for Service Stream in Group Finance team
About the Role

Managing a small team of corporate accountants, this role is responsible for providing a comprehensive accounting and business partnering service across Service Stream’s Business Support departments. This team also provides ancillary support to the Group’s financial reporting and tax functions.

Key responsibilities
- Finance partnering for the business support services encompassing, ICT, shared services, fleet, property, safety, etc.). Providing critical insights and drive process improvement across these functions.
- Lead the planning and budgeting process for all business support cost centres.
- Development of accurate and timely management reporting to support decision making
- Working with the cost centre managers to deliver on acquisition synergy targets
- Understand and map out an efficient and commercial recovery model for corporate overheads.
- Provides recommendations to enhance financial performance and commercial opportunities within the property and fleet divisions
- Strong project management skills to track and drive accountability to sites to ensure initiatives and targets are achieved
- Instigate and implement process improvements and initiatives, including technology and best business practices
- Monitors financial performance by measuring and analysing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances Support Group Tax, Accounting & Reporting teams on various matters such as tax, statutory accounting, balance sheet reconciliations
- Oversight & key contact for compliance of Joint Venture operations
- Support Group FP&A team with cash flow forecasting

Experience required
- This role would suit someone who ideally would having started their career in a chartered firm where you would have developed your strong accounting knowledge-base and subsequently transitioned into a more commercial role within industry.
- Strong business partnering and support experience driving performance and providing strategic, commercial and financial insight.
- Ability to build strong relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders effectively and present to Senior Executives
- Sound knowledge of accounting and reporting systems (previous experience working on large ERPs essential).
- High level analytical skills including use of analysis software e.g., Excel, BI, Power BI or equivalent systems
- Demonstrated drive for continuous improvement of accounting processes

Qualifications required
- Completed a Business Degree in Accounting
- CPA / CA qualified

Competencies required
- Strong numeracy skills and able to process high volumes of data
- Effective communications to liaise with multiple stakeholders
- High levels of initiative with ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines.
- Flexible and responsive to change with ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
