About the role
The Liaison Librarian (Scholarship of Learning and Teaching (SoLT) Specialist) develops information and skills capabilities of staff and students in teaching and research programs by providing digital and information literacy education, reference and library research services in order to develop individuals as self-directed learners. You will contribute to the development of partnerships between the University Library and academic and research staff through proactive liaison with staff. The Liaison Librarian (SoLT Specialist) is a designated team specialist in the learning and teaching domain.
You will:
- liaise with Institute staff to develop and implement a range of discipline-relevant programs and services;- collaborate with support services staff to create digital and information literacy education programs, services and resources;- create, maintain and review specialist online resources which facilitate effective self-service and learning by learners, academics/teachers and researchers;- provide reference services and referral for staff, students and community users; and- provide expert advice to researchers on a range of research related topics.
About you
You will possess:
- understanding of and experience in liaising with a range of University staff to collaboratively develop and deliver services to support learning, teaching and research; and- understanding of the teaching, learning and research environments within the higher and vocational education sector and the role of a modern academic library
