**About the Role**

Are you a skilled maintenance professional looking for a rewarding opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Officer where you'll play a vital part in ensuring our facilities operate efficiently and effectively.

As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for a range of maintenance and facilities services. You’ll bring your expertise to our team, contributing to a safe and well-maintained environment. **Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in maintaining all plant and equipment, adhering to health service policies.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance across the health service.
- Ensure compliance with standards, legislation, and regulations during equipment installation and maintenance.
- Promote a safe working environment by adhering to Work Health Safety legislation and safe work practices.
- Participate in risk identification and minimisation processes.
- Support accreditation requirements as directed.
- Be prepared for occasional out-of-hours and on-call work.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Qualifications:

- Significant experience in maintenance or a relevant trade qualification.
- Skills:

- Proficient in using hand and power tools
- Building and maintenance skills (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, painting).
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with diverse customers.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Problem-solving skills with a knack for fault finding.
- Experience:

- Proven background in a variety of maintenance activities, including building, grounds, and equipment upkeep.
- High level of computer literacy and administrative skills.
- Knowledge:

- Understanding of relevant standards and legislative requirements.
- Familiarity with chemical safety and OHS&W principles.
- Knowledge of quality systems.
- Other Requirements:

- Current SA Drivers’ Licence and willingness to drive.
