**The Role**

Reporting to the Head of Environmental Compliance, you’ll coordinate sustainability initiatives across Huon’s operations, ensuring alignment with both regulatory and voluntary frameworks—including the JBS Global Sustainability Strategy. You’ll play a key role in embedding sustainability into operational and project planning, managing data governance, and communicating progress to internal and external stakeholders.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Lead and coordinate sustainability initiatives across energy, carbon, water, and waste.
- Integrate sustainability planning into operational projects to ensure compliance and measurable outcomes.
- Manage data governance and reporting to track performance and progress.
- Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to support sustainability goals.
- Identify and manage risks and opportunities related to environmental and sustainability initiatives, including potential research projects.
- Prepare internal and external reports to communicate outcomes and project proposals.
- Support governance and compliance for environmental data and voluntary disclosures.

**About You**

You’re a motivated and collaborative professional with a strong commitment to sustainability and continuous improvement. You bring:

- Tertiary qualifications in a related field (Environment, Science, Business) and previous experience working within a complex regulatory environment would be an advantage
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
