**About the Role**

This role is responsible for managing Nutra Organic’s people and culture function with the aim of creating a flourishing workplace where team members can become the best versions of themselves and where our workplace processes and practices reflect best practice. The role is broadly defined by its two core functions; managing classical human resource activities (eg. administration, recruitment, HR systems, policy and procedure compliance, management of employee relations, maintenance of employee records, advice and support, and learning and development programs) as well as developing and managing the culture agenda consisting of initiatives to promote a high performance culture. The people culture agenda will include items such as an annual employee engagement survey, initiatives to strengthen Nutra Organic’s ways of working, values and behaviours, and developing an annual activity plan that promotes employee engagement.

This is a part time position (3 days per week) based in Murwillumbah, with flexible on site/work from home arrangements.

**Core Objectives**:

- Manage the employee lifecycle - including recruitment, onboarding, development, evaluation & remuneration, retention, legal, policies, WHS and HR related compliance.
- Managing the annual performance / KPI setting and review process including administration of the Short Term Incentive Plan.
- Working alongside the Leadership Team, you will be responsible for partnering with our managers and teams to keep people and culture processes performing at their best.
- Coach, guide and advise management regarding employee relations, HR compliance, performance management, professional development, etc.
- Prepare and update HR policies and procedures in line with legislation and best practice.
- Employee relations including conflict resolution and difficult conversations.
- Nurture a positive working environment in which career development is fostered.
- Support current and future business needs through programs that drive increased engagement and staff motivation.
- Partner with the Leadership Team and staff to create a motivating, supportive and productive work environment across all levels of the organisation.
- Keep in-touch with the “health” of the business through building a professional trust with both management and team members
- Operate as a conduit between management and employees when required. Offer unbiased, fair and reasonable advice to all employees.
- Ensure that the business is compliant with WHS legislative requirements.
- Ensure regular WHS audits are conducted regularly & compliances are adhered to.

**Skills, Qualifications & Experience**:

- Degree / Certificate in Human Resources Management.
- Minimum 3 years generalist HR / P&C experience.
- Experience with 360 recruitment across multiple disciplines.
- Knowledgeable in the Fair Work Act and familiar with HR policy and legislation.
- Well developed verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to have difficult conversations.
- Excellent administrative, organisational and time management skills.
- Able to promote cross team collaboration and form effective working relationships with people from across the organization.
- A champion for culture - setting the tone, ensuring company values and ways of working are outworked by happy & productive employees.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of discretion, diplomacy and confidentiality.

**Job Type**: Part-time
