Architectural Draftsperson

AppleLeaf Pty Ltd trading Interiors specialise in complete home renovations and new builds, offering a fully integrated service that includes Architectural Plans tailored to each project, and Interior Designs Service.

We are currently looking for an experienced Architectural Draftsperson to join our Perth-based boutique company.

Job responsibilities will include:

- Analyse and Interpret Design Requirements
- Prepare detailed working drawings and documentation for residential projects
- Ensure all documentation complies with building codes, council requirements, and developer guidelines
- Revise and Refine Design Documents as required
- Amend and update plans based on client selections, variations, and regulatory feedback
- Maintain drawing registers and version control
- Produce Comprehensive Documentation Packages
- Compile Detailed Schedules
- Develop visualisation materials to support client presentations.
- Utilise Building Information Modelling (BIM) software effectively
- Coordinate with Project Stakeholders
- Liaise with internal teams and external consultants to ensure plans are accurate and compliant
- Support Contract Administration and Site Oversight

About You

1. An Advanced Diploma or higher qualification in drafting, design, or a related technical field.

2. Demonstrated experience using 2D and 3D CAD software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office 365.

3. Strong knowledge of construction principles, building codes, and industry regulations.

4. Sound understanding of the NCC, R-Codes, and local council requirements.

5. Ability to interpret engineers’ drawings and integrate them into architectural plans.

6. Proven ability to collaborate with clients, consultants, builders, authorities, and other stakeholders.

7. Excellent attention to detail and a track record of producing accurate, high-quality design work.

8. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to translate design requirements into practical solutions.

9. Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

10. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

11. Current Australian work rights and eligibility to work in Australia.

What We Offer
- A full-time position with an annual salary of $75,000 - $85,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
