**About us**

The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is a specialist service department working to support the operation of NSW Parliament by providing logístical support and advice to members, the Departments of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly and the people of New South Wales.

The Parliamentary Library provides high quality, independent and client-focused information services to Members of Parliament and their staff.

**About the position**

The Librarian - Client Services contributes to the delivery of an outstanding customer experience for all clients of Library and Research Services. In addition to providing customer services and training, this position will contribute to the strategies, plans and initiatives to understand customer needs and provide customer insights to all Library and Research Services teams.

To be successful in this role you will:

- Hold a professional library or information science qualification (i.e., a degree or post-graduate qualification).
- Have demonstrated customer service and library reference skills.
- Have excellent organisation and communication skills.
- Have an interest in current affairs and emerging library and information technologies.
