- Ideally, 1 week live-in every 3 months while one parent travels and potential for a 3rd day work, will need to be confirmed later while the nanny is engaging with the family

Our warm and easy-going, and active family in Marrickville is looking for a nurturing, reliable, and engaging part-time nanny to care for their happy and social 10-month-old son. The family would love for their new nanny to start in January 2026, with the option to begin in December for a smooth and gentle transition.

Their little boy is a cheerful, curious baby who adores playtime, exploring new things, and connecting with those around him. He’s at that delightful stage of discovering the world - full of smiles, energy, and wonder. The family hopes to find a caring nanny who will become a trusted part of their child’s daily life, supporting his growth through play, routine, and warmth.

The home environment is relaxed, friendly, and welcoming. Mum works from home full-time in a separate garden office, and Dad occasionally works remotely midweek. They value open communication, reliability, and someone who feels like a natural fit in their home; calm, adaptable, and genuinely passionate about supporting early childhood development.

The ideal nanny will be warm, patient, and dependable, with the confidence to work independently while feeling comfortable alongside a parent who works from home. She will bring a calm, adaptable, and creative approach to supporting the child’s developmental play, while remaining reliable, organised, and proactive in managing each day with care and consistency.

The role involves creating a fun and engaging daily rhythm filled with activities such as walks, reading, sensory play, and age-appropriate outings such as local playgroups. Light household duties related to childcare; tidying play areas, cleaning up after meals, and baby laundry, will be part of the daily routine.

The family offers trust and autonomy to their nanny. Their household is friendly and relaxed, and they are happy to provide books, craft supplies, and other resources whenever the child shows curiosity or interest.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

- Planning and engaging in creative, stimulating, and age-appropriate play
- Supporting meal, nap, and daily routines
- Maintaining a tidy and organised environment for the child
- Assisting with baby-related household tasks (laundry, dishes, tidying toys, etc.)
- Ensuring a safe, calm, and nurturing environment
- Communicating openly with parents about the child’s day and development

To Apply, You MUST Have:

- A minimum of 3+ years of nanny or childcare experience (infant/toddler experience essential)
- Current Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current National Police Check
- At least two child-related references (Australian-based preferred)
- Up-to-date vaccinations (including flu and COVID boosters preferred)
- Non-smoker
- Driver’s Licence
